Some examples of activities available in the area:
Snorkeling and scuba diving
in the Marine Protected Area of Capo Carbonara
If you love scuba diving or snorkeling, just 10 km east of Torre Delle Stelle, the submerged paradise of the Capo Carbonara Marine Protected Area awaits you, where there are numerous watersports and scuba diving centers. The wrecks arouse particular amazement and curiosity: most of them are ships that sank during the Second World War, some can be visited in
diving even for beginners while others are of medium or high difficulty due to strong currents. A famous and clearly visible wreck in diving is for example that of the steamship “Egle”. Sixty meters long, it was sunk in 1943 by three Dutch torpedoes while carrying coal along Capo Carbonara.

the capital of Sardinia
It is a magnificent city rich in history from the Carthaginian, Byzantine, Roman and Spanish and obviously Italian eras. From unbridled shopping to gourmet cuisine, passing through visits to museums and historical monuments, Cagliari is the most populous city in Sardinia and offers glimpses of extraordinary beauty. Some highlights of Cagliari include Is Centu Scalas, Tuvixeddu or the remains of the largest Phoenician-Punic necropolis in the Mediterranean, the early Christian Basilica of San Saturnino, the medieval towers of the castle entrance, Torre di San Pancrazio and Torre dell’Elefante, the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora di Bonaria and the museum complex of Cagliari. One of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia is in Cagliari, the Poetto beach, 8 km long, beautiful by day and full of nightlife in the evening. Cagliari is also home to many parks, including the Monte Urpinu Park with a beautiful wooded area, a Botanical Garden, or, for example, the Molentarguis-Saline Park where you can spot pink flamingos resting in the water or in flight.
Excursions
in the Sette Fratelli Regional Natural Park
Villa Orchestra sul Mare
Just 17 kilometers away, it is possible to hike inside the Sette Fratelli Natural Park with its spectacular flora and fauna: the biodiversity of trees and undergrowth (cork, holm oak, myrtle, juniper, oleander, mastic, heather, and much more) and wildlife (wild boar, rabbit, hare marten, peregrine falcon, golden eagle and hawk) are visible thanks to a network of well-marked paths that reach up to at 1016 meters high.
